Our Team

Property & Casualty Learning and Development (PCLD) supports learning in the Property & Casualty space for Sales, Underwriting, and Claims, among other groups. PCLD delivers data driven insights and solutions by analyzing data and performing root cause analysis across the Property & Casualty Organization to develop learning which develops the behaviors and skills which impact business results.

About You

A successful PCLD Intern at Nationwide has:

Education

● Undergraduate studies in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field of study

● Completion of sophomore or junior year is preferred

● Involvement in student activities and/or some work experience

● 3.0 GPA or higher is desired

Skills/Competencies

● Effective verbal and written communication skills

● Working knowledge of Excel and/or Tableau

● Natural curiosity and ability to ask probing questions

● Knowledge of statistical analysis

● Ability to excel in a dynamic, changing and sometimes ambiguous environment

● Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment

● Natural curiosity to explore and question

● Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; or Tableau is preferred
