Job Description Summary

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing, organizing and managing specific partner-based growth strategies and programs. You will develop and execute short- and long-term business technical strategies and define and enable new avenues to enhance platform integration between Nationwide Financial and the firms with whom we do business. You will have accountability for the business development to drive technology optimization.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Partners with Business, Functional Leaders, Technology teams and external partners to create the future state technology vision and oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies and roadmaps for Nationwide Financial. Establishes strong relationships with these teams to understand priorities and industry drivers to effectively develop integrated roadmaps that facilitate prioritization of funding and resource allocation.  

  • Collaborates with senior leaders to define and prioritize technology needs/capabilities and the strategic initiatives and roadmap plan to deliver the technology platforms and solutions to support current and future business needs.

  • Continually monitors the external market to understand platform solutions that could further develop and enable Nationwide Financial and our external partners ability to collaborate and execute business.  

  • Cultivates strategic relationships with external partners that support key technology solutions and services. Develops a jointly owned roadmap of capabilities and services (current and future), enterprise level contract and cost management strategies.

  • Manages, evolves and participates in the process by which funding decisions on programs and projects are made in line with strategy and roadmap plans.

  • Analyzes client challenges at the intersection of business and technology to develop compelling technology-driven strategic solutions. 

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships:  Reports to AVP and generally does not have direct reports. 

Typical Skills and Experiences:  

Education: Undergraduate studies in business, finance, IT or related field of study.  

Experience: 10 years of related experience with driving change, enhancing technology and building relationships. 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:  Proven experience building and driving strategic alliances and partnerships. Proven track record of managing all aspects of strategic partnerships from business champion to executive. Ability to lead technology strategy, roadmaping and solutions across different areas. Demonstrated experience in advocating technology solutions and driving executive alignment. Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving experience. Strong communication skills to effectively drive change. 

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. 

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Work from home with routine travel required.

Attention Colorado applicants, the pay range for this position is:

$117,000.00 - $170,000.00
