Wealth Strategies & Planning Tools (WSPT) is a team with Morgan Stanley's Global Investment Office dedicated to Wealth Management's ultra-high net-worth and institutional clientele. The team has two mandates:
1) Providing clients and prospective clients with solutions that bridge their planning and investment decisions as well as supporting those solutions with quantitative analyses illustrating the tradeoffs of various strategies
2) Building and supporting a toolset accessible by financial advisor teams allowing them to create analyses with their own derived strategies. WSPT frequently addresses asset allocation and asset location strategies, but also gets involved in a variety of complex situations including advanced wealth planning, employee stock options, private equity commitments, single stock strategies, and structured products.

WSPT is seeking an individual with a broad array of interests within wealth management. The candidate will focus on the client side, but also contribute to model development as necessary.
Specifically, the individual will be responsible for:
- Following the financial markets, contributing to team research, and speaking on firm views to internal and external clients
- Supporting advisors through one-on-one training and managing the team inbox by answering questions from the financial advisors and their teams on ultra-high-net-worth planning software (Wealth Strategies Analysis and LifeView Private Wealth Advisor)
- Modeling ad hoc financial analyses, producing client presentations, and presenting information to financial advisors
- Strategizing with financial advisors on customized strategies for ultra-high net-worth and institutional clients
The candidate must be able to work as part of a team, but also have the ability to work individually with limited direction.
Skills Required:
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience - client facing experience is desired but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills - individual will have extensive interaction with advisors and clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Series 7 and 66 licensed or completion upon hire

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
