Division Profile:
The Wealth Management Platforms organization manages digital platforms and experiences across the Advisor, Workplace and Direct channels, ensuring that our capabilities lead the industry and are delivered and integrated seamlessly.
Position Summary:
The Wealth Management Field Experience & Platforms team is responsible for supporting the creation and on-going development of the latest solutions for Morgan Stanley clients, prospective clients and financial advisors. It manages digital products used by over 16,000 Financial Advisors across the firm. The Financial Planning Group is responsible for the financial planning and advice tools platforms leveraged by Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
• Support product owners with definition and prioritization of product roadmap, release planning, and development and communication of business requirements.
• Assist with critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product vision/goals and address critical user and control needs.
• Support prioritized product backlog identify, groom, and validate epics and user stories for agile sprints.
• Assist with backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements.
• Specify acceptance criteria, review testing cases/scenarios and perform and oversee user acceptance testing as needed.
• Work closely with the technology team to assure effective communication of requirements and rapid delivery of key product releases.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders from business, technology, UX, risk, cyber & fraud, communications, legal & compliance to elicit requirements.
• Prepare presentations, user demos, and status updates.
• Working with business partners, gather, organize, and assimilate internal and external feedback to identify and prioritize product gaps, enhancements, and new features.
• Collaborate with UI/UX team to develop information/interaction architecture, user flows, wireframes, and visual design comps.
• Team up with program management office to effectively organize and plan product releases.
• Define, collect, and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics evangelize for adoption.
Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required. CFP or Master's Degree a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a software business or systems analyst with track record of delivering new innovative web or mobile applications within an agile/scrum development process.
Required Skills:
• Understanding of financial planning concepts
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to interact effectively and collaborate with other Business Analysts, product owners and business partners
• Effective problem solver
• Experience with business analysis and requirements documentation
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
• Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
• Experience with user acceptance testing Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Registration Required:
• None
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
