We're seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President (VP) in the Client Onboarding Due Diligence Team within the Firm's Wealth Management Operations Group to support the execution of the Firm's Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) protocols for new and existing high-risk clients.
EDD Operations is considered the first line of defense supporting the onboarding and enhanced due diligence processes for Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE clients. The team is responsible for identifying, collecting, and ensuring all documentation and information associated with higher risk client types has been received in good order.
The EDD Operations Vice President is a part of Wealth Management Operations and is responsible for overseeing processes related to the Enhanced Due Diligence program. The VP will support the execution and management of the Firm's EDD protocols for both new and existing customers. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Vice President level within the Client Onboarding and Due Diligence (COBDD) Organization which is embedded within the Firm's Wealth Management Operations Group. It is responsible for identifying, collecting, and ensuring all documentation and information associated with higher risk client types has been received in good order. The EDD Operations Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley clients.

What you'll do in the role:
• Manage complex processes and support significant project efforts
• Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions
• Analyze and expose complex issues, identify risks, root causes and track through to resolution
• Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley departments, and external contact points
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the compliance and regulatory framework that apply to financial institutions
• Draft and update procedures and desktop guidance related to the EDD process
• Serve as the main point of contact for questions/escalations related to EDD
• Manage the day-to-day productivity and quality of a team of 20 to 30 team members located both on-shore and off-shore.

• Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets, and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures
• Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget

• At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
