ETRADE Financial from Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced candidate with deep experience writing complex system requirements serving Financial Institutions. The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of building Financial, Brokerage or Risk Platforms used in a Real Time environment with many system dependencies. The role will support the requirement gathering of various initiatives in the Risk and Portfolio Margin space and therefore a knowledge of derivative Products and Financial/Market Risk would be a plus
The role requires the candidate to oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle - including requirements gathering, development support, pre and post launch strategy - for a variety of products for Risk, Operational Reports, Regulation T or Portfolio Margin accounts.
The desired candidate should be a self-starter and must be driven to solve and document complex system requirements
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Business Analysis of various initiatives in the Margin Lending and Risk Platforms group to ensure all system requirements are met.
• Work and socialize all product specifications with stakeholders of the projects to ensure their buy in and approvals as needed
• Possess strong analytical skills to identify, evaluate and define complex systems. Create product artifacts (business requirements, functional requirements, migration plans, communication plans, project updates for senior management) and gain approval from business and technology leaders
• Assist and lead, where applicable, in developing and communicating strategy for individual products based upon understanding of market, competition, regulatory and legislative trends
• Centralize the documentation of existing Tools designed to manage Risk
• Work with Risk and Service partners to identify system or experience gaps causing undue risk or a poor client experience and work with stakeholders to address them.
• Provide Product Support: Research and resolve complex issues related to option products
• Work with various stakeholders to track and oversee the implementation of the fixes through the agile framework.
• Work and build solid relationship with key stakeholders - including Risk, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Technology and Quality Assurance teams - to deliver simple, elegant and defect free products
• Champion new products throughout the organization
• Conduct and monitor the competitive landscape and propose actionable recommendations aligned with the company's roadmap
Job Requirement:
• Minimum of 7 to 9 years' experience in a Business Analysis or Tech dev role, Product Management preferably handling Financial products OR extensive subject matter expertise in derivative products and risk management along with education in a relevant field
• Prior Risk Management experience in derivative products is highly valuable
• Prior experience in building/maintaining complex Financial Systems or risk management tools with real time data is a desired skillset
• Ability and or demonstrated aptitude and willingness to lead product development initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to a diverse audience
• Strong organizational skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously for on time and within budget delivery
• Demonstrates effectiveness in a fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of the retail client and ability to view proposed solutions through the eyes of the client.
• An energetic person with an entrepreneurial attitude.
• Ability to engage and find opportunities beyond individual responsibilities
• Bachelor degree - preferably in Finance, Economics or Marketing
