Job Description
We are looking for a Vice President, Paid Media (Investment Management) to join the Global Firmwide Marketing organization and support Morgan Stanley's global media efforts. This role will be responsible for media strategy and activation for our Morgan Stanley Investment Management business. This individual will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, as well as with external agency partners, to drive media success. This individual should have hands-on experience with development of media strategies and detailed tactical media plans, the ability to liaise with media agency teams and publishers to develop strategic partnerships, and strong project management skills to support the documentation, trafficking and activation of media with excellence.

Responsibilities
-Serve as a key stakeholder / leader for the development of Morgan Stanley Investment Management media campaigns, working with internal partners in both Firmwide Marketing and the Investment Management business to determine priorities, growth opportunities and activation requirements.
-Ability to develop robust media strategies laddering back to business objectives and integrated, cross-channel tactical plans to accomplish those KPIs; strong understanding of the influence of objective, audience trends and more in the media planning process.
-Establish media audience segmentation with a balance of data sources and awareness of potential cookie deprecation or data privacy requirements.
-Development of sound media measurement frameworks to ensure ability to optimize and deliver ROI for the business, and ability to craft strategic insights with ongoing performance data to inform future initiatives.
-Partner closely with peers across other areas of Marketing to ensure that media recommendations reflect larger strategic efforts and utilize a connected user journey.
-Ability to manage external media agency team for all day-to-day tasks to support Morgan Stanley campaigns; to partner and develop strong relationships with our agency partners, but hold them accountable for the development and delivery of high-quality media plans; clear prioritization and direction for agency teams to drive positive outputs.
-Operational excellence for media billing/finances, pacing management, trafficking oversight for Investment Management campaigns and more.
-Create actionable timelines for all media components or campaigns and ensure clear communication and alignment with a range of stakeholders; track campaign progress to make sure all stakeholders (internal and external) are delivering on time and with appropriate quality of work that meets expectations; be proactive in managing all details throughout the project to ensure that all action items are accomplished on a timely and accurate basis.
-Knowledge of media industry trends (such as audience targeting shifts, data privacy regulation, new media publishers, etc.) and asset management industry events or competitive insights to ensure that Morgan Stanley Investment Management maintains a position of leadership.

-7-10 years of relevant experience in media operations or activation; media agency experience preferred (financial services industry experience, specifically in the asset management space, is a significant plus)
-Experience with managing agency teams in media planning and execution; ability to build and nurture positive, productive, and collaborative relationships with internal teams and external agency partners
-Extensive knowledge of traditional and performance media channels and activation strategies, including data ingestion & attribution workstreams for media; deep experience within digital media channel activation and audience management
-High attention to detail to ensure documentation and execution of all media is accurate, proper specs are clearly outlined and delivered to creative partners for specific partnerships and placements, pressing media deadlines are met for all initiatives; highly organized with strong program management skills
-Resourceful; able to exercise good judgment and come to creative solutions independently
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity of direction
-Constant desire to learn and uncover trends in a rapidly changing industry; knowledge of competitive and industry trends (emerging digital platforms, new media publishers, audience targeting and data privacy regulation, etc.)
-Collaborative team player who can develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to influence change and decision-making

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
