We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Payroll Tax to lead our payroll tax team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all payroll tax functions across our global operations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing our payroll tax processes. The successful candidate will manage a team of three and work closely with various departments to support the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll do in the role:
- Develop and implement comprehensive payroll tax strategies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, as well as international tax laws.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll tax operations and enhance efficiency.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the payroll tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Convey complex tax information clearly and concisely to team members, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes, as well as international payroll taxes.
- Manage payroll tax audits and resolve any issues or disputes with tax authorities.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax reporting and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Ensure the team maintains accurate and timely funding of payroll tax liabilities.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll tax, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a global organization.
- Strong knowledge of global payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing complex payroll tax issues and projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with payroll and financial systems, as well as strong analytical and reporting skills.
