Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Vice President, Database Operations in Boston, MA.
Support financial software applications, including conducting SQL database upgrades and maintaining the highest level of security and performance standards. Conduct SQL Server patching on development, testing, and production environments, tuning highly critical SQL Server databases including performance tuning of long running queries. Build new SQL servers. Conduct Disaster Recovery testing and work on Cloud projects to automate the SQL process. Conduct database migration, regular DBA activities, and on-call critical application support. Position is full-time remote, but the employee must be within commuting distance of the Boston office.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $157,000 and $157,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study. Employer will accept any 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Rubrik; Delphix; Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager; AWS SQL RDS; Qlik Replicate (Attunity); SQL EC2 instances; SQL Server Availability Groups; SQL Server TDE; SQL Server Partitioning; SQL Server Replication; and AWS cloud. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
