The Fixed Income Division ("FID") Business Control Unit ("BCU") team is looking for a Vice President level candidate to support its first line risk management functions. Risk management themes include Regulatory Risk, Compliance Risk, Operational Risk, Conduct Risk, Technology Risk, Client Risk. FID BCU is considered the "First Line of Defense" and the role therefore requires close collaboration with stakeholders of varying seniority across a wide range of teams in the Front Office and Infrastructure Groups.

The role may be based in Hong Kong or Singapore with a focus on Banking regulatory framework and Macro (FX and Interest Rates) and/or Credit products.

Daily or regular tasks related to the risk management function include but are not limited to:

• Reviewing and coordinating new FID business initiatives with Infrastructure Groups, and supporting the implementation
• Managing operational risk incidents, general operational queries/issues, and specific programs such as the Risk & Control Self-Assessment ("RCSA")
• Keeping updated on regulations and rules that impact the Division and the entity, and ensuring compliance within first line
• Participating in new client review and ongoing review for existing clients
• Developing and designing new controls & processes within first line
• Monitoring various risk management reports & controls
• Supporting regulatory enquiries / inspections / applications, internal audits and compliance testing that impact the Division
• Representing FID on various entity committees and forums, providing relevant updates and highlighting issues when needed
• Assessing ad-hoc transaction approvals for complex trades

Skills Required:
• Technical product knowledge in FX, Interest Rates and/or Credit products
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in banks, preferably with experience of HKMA regulations
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgment calls
• Be able to find balance between commerciality and prudent risk management
• Ability to interact with stakeholders of varying seniority in different groups
• Strong project management skills
• Highly self-motivated, with a desire to help improve processes and work together in a team
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese

Preferable Skills:
• Hold a professional qualification such as CFA, FRM or PRM
