Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, BI Developer in New York, NY

Develop, design and maintain data analytics solutions. Work on key regulatory reporting initiatives, including Volcker Metrics, Market Access Rule, Data Inquiries, and CCAR. On-board and analyze new software applications and flows into the reporting systems. Work on analytics and visualization solution using software tools and programming languages including SQL, Python, Business Objects, PowerBI, Tableau, and Qlikview. Work on data government implementation using Collibra. Handle sensitive data on the cloud including Snowflake. Investigate innovative business intelligence solutions and design them, while collaborating with partner teams throughout IT. Implement complex reports, data extracts to give the business transparency on any trade related activities. Work on business support and some production support, including data issue investigation and performance tuning.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $173,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Associate, Development Officer, Application Consultant, or a related role in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Algorithmic trading strategies; FIX protocol; cash flow from investing activities (CFI); financial markets, regulations and risk management principles; BI analytics tools including SAP Business Objects, Tableau, or PowerBI; and programming and data analytics using Python. Requires four (4) years of experience with: Financial products including equity swap, equity cash, fixed income cash and listed derivatives; trading platforms and trade life cycle data flow including execution, allocation, clearing and confirmation; market data including Bloomberg and Reuters; and SQL database including DB2, Sybase, Greenplum, Snowflake and KDB.
