The Vice President, Trading Risk Management - London is responsible for establishing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on BU Risk Limit performance and Risk Utilization, in accordance with EMEA FID Strategy, and in compliance with the established processes, policies, systems and controls for FID function.

What will you be doing?
In particular, the role holder is required to take reasonable steps (directly or via appropriate delegation) to discharge the role responsibilities set out below:
Strategy
- Review the Morgan Stanley Group global strategy and the Group Strategy and identify, manage, and mitigate trading risks associated with the appropriate implementation of the strategy.
- Provide advice as necessary to the EMEA head of FID on the trading risk and/or implications associated with the Group Strategy, and the resources required to manage and mitigate those risks.
Performance
- Provide regular reports to the EMEA head of FID and other appropriate parties of all matters relating to FID, its performance and operations, and other key matters which they require to be brought to their attention and/or of which they ought reasonably to be aware.
- Oversee escalation of all trading risks issues in Fixed Income Division to ensure robust identification, mitigation, and management of risks within Group Strategy.
- Specific areas of risk management include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establishing BU limit structures and associated approval authorities; maintaining risk systems and producing risk measures; implementing risk management procedures, reviews and, if appropriate, approves and/or recommends relevant limits; monitoring BU performance and Risk utilization.
- Identification of ad hoc trading risks that might arise during Fixed Income Division work processes.
Systems and Controls
- Adhere to systems and controls within FID and all its legal entities in order to ensure the identification, quantification, mitigation and management of risk on a day-to-day basis.
- Comply with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system applicable to the Group; and Adhere to the MS Group's policies and procedures.
Leadership
- Promote an appropriate culture and standards, in accordance with MS Group core values, amongst FID staff, including the fair treatment of customers and preserving market integrity.
