Position Description:

This role is for a Business Manager (BM) in the Technology Finance Business Management team, supporting Technology Super Department(s).

The BM will support senior stakeholders within the Super Departments including; Chief of Staff, Super Department Heads and their teams. The BM will work with other groups outside of Technology including; HR, Sourcing, Tech COO and assist in decision making for the stakeholders.

Implement standard reporting and regular communication with their assigned Super Department(s), highlighting various Financial and Resource metrics. The BM will meet regularly with their stakeholders to review these metrics and implement controls around resourcing and budgeting where necessary.

What you'll do in your role:

  • Understand the total Technology manpower and infrastructure bill.
  • Provide transparency into the Technology bill for Shared Tech organizations to explain cost movements and impact of priority investments:
  • Liaise with infrastructure product managers, business managers and finance controllers for product changes. Model financial impact by business segments and applications. Present result to Tech senior management.
  • Perform annual infrastructure product benchmarking
  • Continue to develop existing Tech Transparency reporting decks to deliver financial insight into manpower and infrastructure expenditures.
  • To complement the above and expand this insight; Develop and implement Infrastructure Estate Management decks incorporating; existing infrastructure costs, demand management, Cloud demand / spend, optimization and reinvestment opportunities.
  • Analyze / validate data and variances in order to articulate during client delivery.
  • Manage existing client relationships with Senior Division / Super Department management in Technology.
  • Collaborate with Tech Business / Portfolio Management & metrics development team to influence transparency strategy, standards, methodology, delivery, insight and increased service provision.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, expertise with PowerPoint, excel and large data sets
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals; strong commitment to high quality standards
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives
  • Proven ability to inspire, influence and challenge status-quo
  • Adept at creating management presentations, delivering concise synthesis of suggestion actions to senior firm management
  • Execution & deliverable focused
  • At least 5 years professional experience in similar roles
