Technology Business Development Manager - Cloud & Infrastructure (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Technology Business Development Manager to identify opportunities for modernization, building strategic partnerships, and shape the future of cloud and infrastructure in financial services.

The ideal candidate will combine expertise in cloud and infrastructure technologies with a strategic mindset, balancing technical considerations with business priorities such as client outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

This role will support and maintain win-win relationships between the various technology providers and the business divisions of the bank.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
  • Conduct market research and provide deep analysis on technology landscape from the Firm's providers and ecosystem to deliver (along with the TechBD Sector Leads) actionable advice to Firm stakeholders.
  • Analyze market, industry, and technology trends and provide recommendations to internal and external clients based on findings. This includes : Senior IT decision makers, Investment Banking, Capital Markets (VC/PE), Institutional Investors, Equity Research, and key Firm clientele.
  • Share internal IT's view of the future enterprise technology landscape with Research and select Wealth Management Clients.
  • Drive transformation by working with Sector Lead to build market landscapes, company profiles, and technology business cases to accelerate the modernization of the Firm's infrastructure.
  • Working with the SMEs, Application Development managers, and Corporate Sourcing to identify the network of vendor relationships used to deliver IT services to the Firm.
  • Work closely with vendor/partner relationship and product leaders to identify new and disruptive technologies and trends.
  • Ensure successful client interactions including setting agendas, identifying relevant participants and carrying out meetings and events.
  • Handle and coordinate escalation of issues (contractual or operational) with vendors, ensuring suitable senior executives at the Firm and vendor are involved.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 6+ years of hands-on technological/engineering experience in the field of Enterprise IT, Cloud, either at financial services organization, cloud providers or through consulting roles.
  • Bachelor's degree accepted with relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of cloud, compute, storage, networking, data centers and/or semiconductors. Awareness of industry trends and key vendors.
  • Familiarity with public cloud PaaS offerings and experience building applications leveraging cloud-native container management, microservices, DevOps, analytics, databases, networking.
  • Experience with market research, tooling, and business analysis. (ROI case studies, transformation business cases)
  • Experience in high intensity and challenging business environments.
  • Strong context switching capabilities, handing multiple priorities and change.
