Syndicate Operations Transformation Director (AVP)

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Project Manager who will support the Syndicate Operations transformation agenda by collaborating with cross-divisional stakeholders and applying project management and business analysis techniques to deliver complex and high-profile projects.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for managing transformation initiatives enabling the support of new GCM business, complying with global regulatory changes and realizing time savings through efficiency and renovation.

What you'll do in the role:

- Work with the Team Manager to run strategic projects for the global Syndicate Operations functions, supporting Global Capital Markets (GCM) in their Equity and Debt new issuance activity

- Effectively collaborate across multiple global stakeholders, including Syndicate Operations, Technology, GCM Business Unit, Legal and Compliance, Risk Management and Finance Teams

- Document detailed business requirements, impact assessments and functional specifications and work with technology to translate into future state

- Manage consistent communication of project implementation progress, risks, and issues to team management, demonstrating timely and appropriate escalation of risks and issues

- Act as liaison between technology and stakeholders for requirements, clarification or validation, obtain agreement and to close information gaps

- Prepare test strategy and carry out test execution. Coordinating and providing training for test users as required

What you'll bring to the role:

- Ability to proactively suggest solutions, raising issues and asking questions put forward challenging views to senior levels

- Experience in process improvement, business analysis, documenting business requirements, impact assessments and functional specifications Project and System Development Lifecycle knowledge

- Skilled in stakeholder management and communication

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and within the team

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of the global team

- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $68,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
