We're seeking someone to join our team as a Software Engineering Manager in
Institutional Securities Tech.

This is a Software Engineering Manager position at Vice President level which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

- You will be a strong Java developer / architect, who will be hands on, in a delivery focused role.
- You will have strong communications skills to build a strong relationship with business stakeholders including sales, trading, and quants.
- You will be a proactive member of an agile development team, focusing on efficient application delivery to meet business KPI's.
- You will encourage innovation and set technical guardrails for the development team in both a managerial and coaching capacity.
- You will help develop and lead the technology strategy within the department, as well as ensuring it aligns with the global technology strategy.
- Opportunity to work with front end application development in HTML 5, Angular and scripting in python.
- You will help implement and ensure the team follows SDLC best practices.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience with application integration, software design patterns, frameworks, unit testing, automated testing, performance / memory analysis, and n-tier service-oriented architecture.
- Experience of Agile development techniques and a deep understanding of systems engineering, build and release management principles including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Practical Experience building Java Applications. Specifically, Spring Boot Applications.
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience.
- Experience in managing small team of developers.
