Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley's Equity businesses in India. It covers functions across
IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
The role is based out of Mumbai and requires collaborating with Client Business Analytics (CBA) and London Equity Administration (COO). The role will require generating reports, aggregating, and updating various data sets from multiple sources for the business. The job will involve keeping information up to date, producing management material and reports to analyze trends and activity as well as working on various regular and ad hoc tasks. Regular interaction with Sales, Sales Trading, Finance, COO teams etc. We require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active, and initiative-taking person to help the team in day-to-day activities.
- Client Revenue reporting: Prepare regular and ad hoc revenue analysis for senior distribution management and internal reporting highlighting revenue performance, momentum, client, and product drivers
- Interactions reports: Producing client interactions reports to show resource consumption, analyze trends, and show over- or under-serviced clients
- Votes: Keep broker vote information and provide senior management reporting highlighting rank momentum
- Account Review preparation: Engaging with client and product coverage, updating internal systems and files with business, product summaries, opportunities tracking etc
- Reporting: Prepare regular/ad hoc reports and dashboards by collating and analyzing updated information from various internal sources and summarizing data for senior management presentations and internal review meetings with client coverage
- Financials and Expense Reporting: Prepare and analyze data for financial snapshots, expense reporting and trend analysis
Skills required (essential)
The basic skills required for the role are the ability to learn quickly how to navigate databases, analyze data from these confidently in Excel and respond to requests promptly.
Skill set required:
We are looking for a confident and outgoing person, who has exceptional attention to detail and is proactive in taking initiative. Successful candidates will have a proven work experience analyzing data.
Graduate (BCOM/BMS)/MBA in Finance with 2-3 years of experience Excellent written & spoken English; Excellent business writing skills Excellent telephone skills (regular phone contact with teams required) Advanced knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office -Excel, PowerPoint and Word Familiarity with databases, and the ability to analyze data confidently Strong analytical skills, Attention to detail, Team oriented and Problem-solving skills Knowledge and experience in the Finance industry would be an added advantage
