Risk Capital Technology Analyst
What aspects of life are not subjects to risk? Are you a risk taker or a risk averse? As a risk analyst, in our risk management department, you will gain insights into global capital management for regulatory and business purposes.
The Risk Capital Team provides calculation and analysis of regulatory capital. The team produces reports for the Regulators, Senior Management, and other key stakeholders in the Risk Department.

You will:
• Learn about Risk Weight Assets calculations, capital requirements and technologies that are used at Morgan Stanley
• Be involved in / drive process enhancements and data initiatives from Capital point of view
• Represent the Capital Team in Agile squad developments
• Develop, maintain and optimize reports and analysis tools focusing on capital charge in Python
• Take part in projects focusing on the implementation of new requirements from the regulator or senior management
• Create ad hoc analysis and regulatory data requests - every day is different
• Partner with other business areas and stakeholders to enhance Capital processes
• Explore opportunities to increase efficiency with regards to our 'business as usual' processes (e.g. automation, new technologies, smart solutions, etc.)
You have:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Business Informatics
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in data analysis / programming related roles, preferably in the financial industry / risk management / regulatory reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Advanced knowledge of Python / SQL / VBA / Matlab
• Familiarity with financial markets and products
• Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Collaborative / Team player mindset - ability to prioritize and work effectively with colleagues to meet a common goal
• Familiarity / experience with Agile development framework
