Team Summary

- The Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) manages ~$37bn in custom multi-asset portfolios on behalf of institutions and individual investors worldwide

- PSG specializes in the discretionary management of portfolios allocating across traditional and alternative asset classes, including the use of open architecture implementation via third-party strategies

- The team is comprised of 30 professionals globally, and is organized into five disciplines: Capital Markets, Investment Selection, Quantitative Research and Portfolio Management, Client Engagement, and Investment Support

What will you be doing?
• As a member of PSG's Investment Selection team, you will be contributing to the sourcing, diligence, and monitoring of investment opportunities
• Investment activity includes public and private markets, direct and fund implementation, internal and third-party strategy allocations
• You will have the opportunity to support the continuous effort of the wider team to maintain medium term investment views across public and private markets
• The role includes contributing to client review activity and new business development, including coordinating with the global distribution team on all PSG business activities
• Finally, the position also involves supporting the production of thematic investment content for existing and prospective clients
• Degree educated or equivalent (post graduate qualifications are positive)
• Progress towards CFA / CAIA is advantageous
• Previous multi-manager experience in a multi-asset portfolio context
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75.000 and $120.000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
