Investment Management's Global Risk & Analysis department has an open position for a Process, Risk and Controls professional at the Analyst or Associate level based in Budapest. The position will report into an Officer of Risk and will interface with business partners in both the private and public sides of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the risk and issue driven deep dive reviews to identify root causes as well as the identification of risks, controls, risk responses, and opportunities for enhancements including control optimizations.
- Perform process mapping or visualization charts of key or critical processes.
- Provide day-to-day execution support of various process, risk and controls (PRC) transformation efforts that help to optimize business processes while mitigating business risks.
- Perform post-PRC effort operational effectiveness such as analyzing self-assessments results and performing testing & monitoring activities.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating key findings and recommendations to varying levels of management including executives.
- Develop and distribute project(s) status, meeting notes/minutes, and necessary metrics to working groups and senior steering committees proficiently utilizing today's collaboration tools (i.e., Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of issues and action plans in the respective Morgan Stanley systems.
- Involvement in other projects and duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance or other disciplines demonstrating both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Good analytical and technical skills including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other end user computing tools, process mapping experience a plus.
- Experience with Visio or other flow diagram tooling is required.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and relationship management skills
- 2-5 years of financial services experience preferably in audit, compliance, technology or risk management.
- Experience in process improvements, data analytics, regulatory projects, cyber & information security or technology integration is a plus.
