About the Role
The Product and Client Risk team operates within Business Control Unit team of Asia Private Wealth Management (AWM) business as the first line of defense; the team is responsible for structuring and implementing the risk management framework around client portfolio management, customer feedback, product governance, trade approvals, and asset transfers of the AWM business.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for leading the efforts on client lifecycle and transaction-level review for AWM business
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a robust framework on independent review and risk analysis of client portfolios involving various kinds of investment products, through comprehensive review per relationship manager, as well as in-depth analysis of each portfolio
- Advise and review client lifecycle events and customer feedback, and collate relevant information for stakeholders to consider and evaluate
- Review, assess and approve complex and/or bespoke asset transfer requests for clients of AWM, consistent with appropriate anti-money laundering (AML), counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) and anti-fraud standards
- Conduct independent investigation on complex and/or bespoke asset transfer requests through working with client-facing teams as well as other control functions including Business Managers and Operations
- Escalate and present issues arising from daily reviews to management and/or second line of defense where appropriate
- Provide general client event management / AML / CFT / anti-fraud advice and guidance to AWM business units and relevant stakeholders in daily operations
- Maintain and document the processes and practices on reviewing client events and transactions
- Well versed with the regulatory requirements across relevant areas; and implement required controls to ensure compliance and assist in different projects focusing on risk and control aspects
- Produce regular management information to senior management, as well as other local and global stakeholders
- Prepare training materials and deliver training to internal stakeholders
- Support regulatory inspections and internal audits and take responsibility for remedial actions
- Provide cross coverage to Singapore's risk team where necessary
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Accounting / Business / Economics / Finance / Law / Risk Management or related disciplines, relevant qualifications (such as CAMS, AAMLP/CAMLP, FRM, CPA, etc.) would be an advantage
- At least 7 or more years of relevant client portfolio review / customer feedback / AML / CFT / anti-fraud professional experience, preferably within private wealth management/private bank
- Prior experience in reviewing client lifecycle events and asset transfer requests, e.g. from perspectives of AML, CFT, anti-fraud, etc.
- Extensive experience and understanding in investment products commonly available in private wealth management/private bank, including vanilla and exotic derivatives on equity, FICC, etc.
- Proficient in customer feedback/AML/CFT/anti-fraud regulations and requirements in Asia-Pacific countries, notably Hong Kong, Singapore and international standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese language
- Phenomenal interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving skills and work under stress
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- A self-motivated fast learner and a good team player
