Position Summary
Workplace Platforms is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Platforms, comprised of the digital platforms supporting the Morgan Stanley at Work businesses-including Equity Compensation, Retirement Plan Solutions, and Deferred Compensation. The Workplace Platforms team drives and defines the digital and online experience for wealth management and corporate clients. The overall mission of the division is to create a best-in-class experience for both corporate clients and their employees ("participants") as we engage them throughout their financial life journey, ultimately leading to a deepening of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationship. Our approach will be highly scalable, leveraging an omni-channel strategy with an emphasis on messaging, onboarding, cross-selling, activation and servicing. Our goal will be to drive growth across all client segments, including the Mass-Affluent, with new digital capabilities.

The Workplace Platforms team defines and drives the digital, online and mobile customer experience for corporate clients and their employees. As a Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategy to deliver a differentiated experience for workplace participants.
You will lead a team of product managers who partner and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support the planning and execution of key initiatives that will drive execution of the Firm's long term strategy of delivering the firm and integrating a path to advice with the workplace offering. This will encompass both client solutions and/or participant experiences across various digital platforms in support of this mission.
Job Responsibilities
- Work directly with leaders of key business areas to understand critical business needs, opportunities for investment that have potential deliver significant progress on business goals
- With directly with leaders of key business areas to develop create business cases to influence investment and roadmap decisions
- Work with product teams and technology leaders to ensure maximum benefit/lowest cost solutions, while also building a product for the long run
- Work with product managers on the team team to develop clear high level (epic) requirements for delivering, and work closely with technology and operations leaders through build and delivery phases
- Coach product managers working directly with cross functional teams to effectively collaborate, design and develop new products, develop new features and enhancements
- Identify dependencies and keep constituent groups informed and aligned to goals, changes in priorities, escalation situations at appropriate executive levels
- Contribute to and maintain key strategic presentation materials used to inform executive decision-making
- Ensure appropriate implementation of risk controls based on control partner (e.g., legal & compliance) input
- Help define and track success metrics and oversee ongoing and ad-hoc data reporting requests
Skills
- 8+ years as a product owner/manager/analyst or 10+ years as leader with relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience with technology development process and lifecycle (Agile/Waterfall)
- Strong understanding of the corporate stock plan business and operating paradigms
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take a problem statement and solution it in collaboration with teams and experts across a complex organization
- Strong technical writing skills to assist with escalation management
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to assist with data analysis and building presentations for senior management

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $170,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
