Morgan Stanley Tactical Value is part Morgan Stanley Investment Management's Private Credit and Equity ("PC&E") business. Morgan Stanley Tactical Value manages a series of funds that make opportunistic private, long-term, and likely illiquid investments globally across all asset classes and across the capital structure.
Role Description
Morgan Stanley Tactical Value is looking for a thoughtful, analytical, and solutions-oriented individual to support the COO/CFO of Morgan Stanley Tactical Value. Candidate will interface on an ongoing basis with Morgan Stanley Tactical Value's external Fund Administrator(s), as well as Finance, Private Markets Office of the COO (Fund Governance, Risk, and Investor Services), Legal, Tax and Compliance.

Fund Management:
- Prepare quarterly investor reports for Morgan Stanley Tactical Value funds, including the Summary Fund Report and Quarterly Fund Report
- Draft capital call and distribution notices and other investor communications
- Draft Valuation Committee materials and minutes and Investment Committee minutes
- Monitor fund expenses on a quarterly basis
- Draft materials for due diligence questionnaires/meetings and other senior management presentations
- Collaborate with the Deal Teams and internal groups to complete the Investment Committee Checklist and execute Deal Close Plan
- Act as the Business Continuity Coordinator for Morgan Stanley Tactical Value
- Provide back up to the CFO/COO for monitoring of daily margin calls and coordination with Fund Administrator
Fundraising and New Product Development:
- Update marketing materials including pitchbooks and case study decks
- Manage data room access and associated posting of materials
- Draft responses to due diligence requests, RFPs and LP inquiries
Special Projects:
- Ad-hoc projects may form a large part of the responsibilities associated with this role
Skills Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CFA preferred
• 4-5 years of experience in Private Fund Accounting (either Private Equity or Private Credit) at a Fund Administrator or Investment Manager
• Understanding of Private Fund Structures
• Fluent in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Superior level of attention to detail
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and meet associated deadlines important to success

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $175,000 per year for Associate and between $175-200k for Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
