MSCP invests in control transactions via founder-led recapitalizations, growth equity investments, management buyouts, corporate carve-outs and platform builds. Throughout their history, they have maintained a consistent middle-market focus, investing in companies across a broad range of industries with enterprise values from $200 million to $750 million and EBITDA from $10 million to $70 million.

Responsibilities:
Capital Partners is looking for an experienced private equity Associate to work directly with senior investors and decision-makers and serve as key contributors throughout the lifecycle of investing, including the evaluation of investment opportunities, conducting in-depth sector analysis, developing and analyzing financial projections and valuations, and monitoring portfolio companies post investment.
Specifically, MSCP is looking for an Associate able to help in the following areas across each vertical:
- Conduct research on macro themes, investment ideas, and target assets
- Build financial models for company projection and transaction scenarios
- Produce investment memoranda and support materials on investment opportunities
- Coordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence items
- Track prospective deals
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably a combination of investment banking and private equity
- Experience Mergers & Acquisitions preferred
- Ability to learn quickly and interact well with others
- Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a team player attitude
- Superior level of attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and meet associated deadlines important to success

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
