We're seeking someone to join our team as a Sourcing / Procurement, Director, Corporate Services to manage the Firm's regional Market Data procurement relationships with providers of market data content and services while partnering with the business units to evaluate, and understand business market data requirements, to identify the data sources and vendor products needed to execute the business, and to influence and advise on best-fit solutions.
In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business. This is a Director level position within the Corporate Services, which provides strategic thinking and creative expertise alongside production and distribution capabilities to market our Firm's products and services.

What you'll do in the role:
- Managing the relationship with data vendors including Index providers and Stock Exchanges in Japan and APAC and acting as their primary sourcing contact managing the full commercial lifecycle for the Firm.
- Working with data providers, technology colleagues and internal business clients, on all levels, to understand and synthesize key data strategies across those areas and drive value for the firm.
- Providing data usage guidance to business users to comply with data usage rules of each data sources collaborating with Legal and risk officers in each Business Unit.
- Manage team members in the Regional Market Data team.
- Applying data, vendor and industry knowledge to leading efforts on various special projects driven by organizational and/or strategic changes.
- Managing strategic direction for product demonstrations, pilots, competitive displacement opportunities
What you'll bring to the role:
- Candidate must have business level of Japanese and English language skills in both verbal and written communication.
- Candidate should have financial services work experience with a proven track record of managing key supplier engagements and a broad range of diverse consumer relationships. J.D. Degree with focus on contracts, intellectual property a plus
- Experience in negotiating complex agreements with a strong understanding of data usage compliance issues and intellectual property rights.
- Intellectually curious, articulate, detail oriented, proactive, assertive, and excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate market data strategies and to influence/gain buy-in for the ideas
- Strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills, with a detailed knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.
- Self-sufficient team player and flexible to changing priorities.
- Experience using Ariba (Sourcing Project) system and/or the FITS-Market Data Inventory system desirable.
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
