We're seeking someone to join our team as (Director) Production Support Engineer (Level-3) who is strong back-end engineer with knowledge of front-end frameworks and technologies to help us build a scalable, reliable, secure, and resilient enterprise platform on a global scale.

WM_Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

What you'll do in the role:

Be a part of a small team, consisting of 3 developers, a QA specialist and shared resources like PMs and a Manager.
Help maintain a stable application by fixing production issues on priority basis.
Investigate production code breaks and identify the root causes.
Propose and develop tactical and strategical solutions.
Able handle multiple issues by guiding the team members.
Design, implement, and test new functionality.
Performance tuning of legacy complex codes.
Be stability focused - learn about the business and help bring value to end users.
Follow Agile development methodologies
Work closely with QA - we find and fix our own bugs
Use your experience to help the whole team get better
Full stack development experience
A hunger for solving problems
Formal education in Software Development is appreciated, but not necessary with the right background

What you'll bring to the role:

At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Distributed Systems Design and Building Knowledge
Java Backend, Java 11 and above experience
Frameworks Spring, Spring Boot Services, Restful Services & API design, Hibernate.
WebLogic or equivalent App server experience
Knowledge of Microservice Architecture and Working experience
Knowledge of Event driven architecture, Kafka, JMS
Caching Solutions e.g., Redis, Memcache., JDBC -Oracle or equivalent RDBMS Database knowledge
SQL queries and ways to optimize
Dev & DevOps Tools, Gradle, Maven
Testing, JUnit 5, Selenium
Knowledge of UI technologies and frameworks e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GWT, jQuery
Docker, Splunk, Jakarta ie. JavaEE
Linux/Unix Command Line
SSH, cURL, SFTP
ActiveMQ/Artemis
IntelliJ IDEA
VS Code, Log4J
*Atlassian Products, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github,Jenkins or other continuous integration systems, SonarQube, Jacoco, Python / Ruby
