We're seeking someone to join our E*TRADE Web Development team as a Java Developer in Client Platforms to support initiatives like supporting trading of cryptocurrency and fractional shares and also help multiple trading platforms (ETRADE Mobile, ETRADE Web and ETRADE Power) to migrate away from legacy technologies.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Eng III position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for development and maintenance of software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
- Design and develop highly reliable, scalable, extensible, maintainable, global, and operable products and platforms.
- Draft and review design diagrams, interface specifications, class structures, and other design documents.
- Build systems that balance resources, constraints, requirements, and complexity.
- Evangelize technologies, solutions, and best practices developed with the organization.
- Participate in a network of engineers to share ideas, practices, and experiences.
- Work closely with product management and development teams.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration
- Expert in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployments.
- Experience in java server technologies like J2EE, servlets.
- Experience in Tomcat, Maven, etc. tools used for Java development.
- Experience in API/Web Services development using protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON.
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
- Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON and API design for extensibility and portability.
