Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business.

Practice Area Group

Services Tech - Services Tech Platforms provides technology solutions to WM Clients. It provides opportunity to develop wealth management relationships with the individuals associated with MS and ET platforms.

Role & Responsibilities

This position is for experienced senior/lead application developer for WM Client Reporting team. The team provides application development, platform enhancement and reengineering, and technology support to the generation of Client Reporting documents for Wealth Management Clients. The candidate will work directly with the business and OPS users for requirement gathering and analysis, as well as with other IT teams across the Wealth Management organization for implementing multi-platform technology solutions.

The candidate is required to-

To perform requirement analysis and oversee the implementation of design of project scope.

To provide customized reusable solutions of project, program, or operational scope.

To develop high-quality and detailed designs.

To conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks and identify and address possible risk by conducting mitigation action planning.

Conducting configuration of your own work or from the team and assess the technical impact of multiple technologies/strategies.

Reviewing the work of other developers with feedback for improvement

Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality deliverables.

Contribute as a team member to an operational, integration or application architecture requirements, design, implementation, or on-going operations deliverables.

Work with business to define requirements.

Perform technical design and hands-on coding for development and enhancement efforts.

Adhere to SDLC standards.

Promote best practice in design and coding; and

Conduct design and code reviews. Required Skills

At least 8 years of development experience in Java

Experience in Spring/Spring Boot framework

Experience in relational databases such as DB2 and Teradata.

Experience in implementing web services.

Experience in frontend frameworks such as Angular, Struts, jQuery and Bootstrap.

Experience in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience in batch processing implementations.

Have implemented some form of custom frameworks such as security and validations.

Have some team leading experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies.

Advanced understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting and tools.

Minimum experience of three or more full SDLC for web application projects.

Ability to work effectively in a team and with OPS/Business stakeholders.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $160,000 per [hour/year] at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
