Java Backend Developer - Director - Software EngineeringProfile DescriptionWe're seeking someone to join our team as Director Backend Java Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining robust systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate. A key focus of this role is efficient design and optimization, so solid experience with Java and SQL is essential. Associate will be responsible for developing scalable APIs and integrating them with various frontend services. Proficiency in database performance tuning and query optimization is highly desired. Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is required. Associate should also be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, efficient code are critical. Read on...What you'll do in the role:Implement software used to manage the Securities Lending and Client Financing business. This job provides the unique opportunity to design and implement applications that provide a critical business function across the entire Institutional Securities Business. A constantly evolving business and regulatory environment will provide a stream of new challenges to the candidate. The applicant should be a superior Java programmer, with strong design and implementation fundamentals. Prior experience in finance will be useful, however, the ability and willingness to master new technical and business concepts will be considered. What you'll bring to the role:• Java / spring - Strong experience in developing enterprise level systems using Java / Spring.
• Multithreading / Concurrency - Good Exposure in implementing multi-threaded applications
• Exposure to Test and Behavior Driven Development in agile setup
• Exposure to JavaScript framework like Angular is desirable
• Desire to learn the business domain and partner with stakeholders to specify new business features
