customized solutions to the most challenging strategic and financing issues faced in the global
marketplace.
Our San Francisco office is looking for a Vice President to join the Financial Sponsors Investment Banking
team with a focus on Technology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with
preeminent technology investors and corporates on a wide range of complex transactions including
acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, strategic advisory assignments

and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. The successful candidate will work
closely with professionals throughout the firm and specifically with our Global Technology Group to
deliver high quality advice to our clients. You will play an important role on a team that includes senior
professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
- 6+ years of experience within the investment banking industry with a proven track record working on executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors
- Superior valuation skills
- Interest in Technology, Software and Private Equity
- Comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements
- Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard
- Extraordinarily high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree required; an MBA, CA and/or CFA designation would be an asset
- Series licensing or must obtain
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $250,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
