The MSIM Alternatives distribution team seeks an independent, self-motivated individual for the Internal Sales Desk to focus on MSIM Alternative Investments business development across Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel.

Responsibilities
  • Partner and support the Alternative Investment Distribution Specialists to drive growth and sales in MSIM alternative investment products within the Registered Investment Advisor Channel.
  • Collaborate and partner with colleagues on Eaton Vance RIA Sales Team.
  • Develop proficiency in the areas of private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds and muti-asset customization capabilities.
  • Build a deep and intimate knowledge of the various investment strategies across the MSIM Alternatives platform.
  • Establish a business plan to identify and meet with RIA's and relevant contacts within the assigned territory(s).
  • Leverage relationships throughout the RIA channel to build awareness and educate Financial Advisors on the MSIM Alternatives platform.
  • Work strategically with Registered Investment Advisors to perform demand assessments and determine investor appetite for new products.
  • Cultivate relationships with RIAs through high-quality interactions including proactive calls, emails and follow-up meetings.
  • Take a consultative approach in profiling RIAs in order to understand their business, clients and investment challenges to better match MSIM solutions to their needs.
  • Managing and utilizing CRM database to track Financial Advisor/client interaction.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience preferably in an investment management or wealth management/financial advisory setting
  • Understanding of the intermediary alternatives business
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and meet associated deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for capital markets and alternative investments
  • Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic environment, and entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence
  • License requirements: Series 7 and 63

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between [INSERT MIN.] and [INSERT MAX.] per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
