The Training Design and Development Team creates custom learning solutions for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management field audiences. Training materials cover a range of topics including systems training, product support, and career development. This role will focus primarily on leading the creation of custom training deliverables in support of new programs, system processes, technology releases, and firm initiatives. Our goal is to create an innovative personalized learning experience in everything we do. Candidates must have a foundational understanding of instructional design models and experience with interactive training.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with business and technology owners to understand project details and downstream impacts to existing processes
  • Conduct needs assessments based on audience
  • Define learning objectives and develop a customized training plan based on audience
  • Design and develop training of all forms (including but not limited to e-learning courses, quick reference materials, online reference materials, instructor led training, sandbox environments, etc.)
  • Document workflow processes end to end for on the job performance support
  • Coordinate review and approvals of training content with business and technology owners
  • Set project milestone dates and escalate risks as they arise

Requirements:
  • A degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or other related degree
  • 5 + years in training, instructional design or creative services role
  • 2 + years of project/program management.
  • Strong knowledge of Articulate 360 (with emphasis in Storyline 360 and Rise 360)
  • Strong knowledge Adobe Photoshop or other graphic editing software
  • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate
  • Basic understanding of HTML and/or Content Management Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning, preferably in a highly regulated market
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Establish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Business Partners, Support Staff, Financial Advisors and Product Team members
  • Prior experience in Financial Services preferred
  • Be authorized to work in the U.S. without durational restrictions
  • Successfully complete background check and pre-employment assessments
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 (or equivalent) considered a plus

FOR NYC POSITIONS ONLY:

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
