We are seeking a Vice President to join the Institutional Sales team in our Hong Kong office. Within this role you will have the opportunity to learn and help grow our business. You will ultimately be responsible for assisting the team in raising assets across a variety of institutional clients.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management strives to provide outstanding long-term investment performance, service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, which includes governments, institutions, corporations and individuals worldwide. Morgan Stanley Investment Management incorporated MSIM Fund Management (Ireland) Limited (MSIM FMIL) in 2018., a UCITS Management Company and AIFM (with MiFID Top-Ups) responsible for oversight of assets across multiple strategies including liquidity, active equity and fixed income, multi-strategy and alternatives.

Reporting to the Head of Institutional Sales, this individual will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop a deep understanding of MSIM's suite of investment strategies across Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives
  • Leverage institutional sales experience in asset management, with a focus on both public and private market funds in Hong Kong.
  • Cross-sell and collaborate across various asset class segments.
  • Recognize the scale of the opportunity to grow a top-tier business at MSIM.
  • Identify, prioritise and target existing and new business opportunities to drive sales and business growth
  • Provide input to product development and strategic direction of the sales team
  • Represent MSIM in public as appropriate
  • Pro-actively develop relationships with other internal departments (product management, investment teams, marketing, etc.) as well as across other divisions of the Firm
  • Maintain, create, update and report sales opportunities/pipelines/meeting notes in the CRM database

Qualifications - External
  • Approximately 7-10 years of institutional sales experience in asset management.
  • Background from another large firm, with solid institutional knowledge.
  • Ability to cross-sell and collaborate effectively across asset classes.
  • Strong cultural fit, understanding the potential to grow within MSIM
  • Strong academic credentials from a leading university
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong team player, ability to collaborate with colleagues across the team, MSIM and the broader organisation
  • A keen interest in, and knowledge of, the financial markets across different asset classes
  • Outstanding commercial acumen and high degree of attention to detail
  • Track-record of being proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • General sales support activities, with the goal of having both collaborative and personal client account ownership in time
