The Direct & Institutional Business (DIBS) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management comprised of Morgan Stanley at Work, E*Trade and Institutional Consulting Solutions. The Institutional Consulting Solutions business drives the product management, sale and service of Advisor-led workplace offerings for corporate clients, non-profits, endowments, foundations and governments entities across market segments. Products include Retirement and Corporate Cash Management sold by both core Advisors as well as specialized channels such as Graystone Consulting or our Morgan Stanley Institutional Investment Advisors. Position Summary:
As a member of the Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) Strategic Governance and Scaling team, you will be responsible for assisting with the assessment, design and implementation of the Institutional business governance framework designed to address future and mitigate current risk across the business while ensuring ability to scale. This will include project management for various risk mitigation initiatives driving business transformation, and coordinating regulatory program(s) deliverables with partners in Legal, Risk and Compliance teams. You will help identify synergies across ICS to support a consistent and sustainable control set, including but not limited to: review and analysis of current policies & procedures, controls revision, and participate in compliance tests and audits. You will also partner closely with members of the WM Platforms, WM Operations, Privacy, Analytics and Data and other partner teams to ensure relevant project plans, corresponding control metrics and new processes are being implemented and interpreted correctly.
Responsibilities:
• Coordination & execution of new ICS governance initiatives and corresponding internal strategy/project management decks or leadership documentation.
• Partner with internal subject-matter experts to present and obtain consensus on proposed design and implementation of control or governance processes.
• Project management and development of timelines for relevant strategic initiatives.
• Partner with ICS Strategic Reporting & Analytics and Data team members to drive risk reporting or control reporting to assess size of risk and/or efficacy of newly implemented controls.
• Partner with analysts to drive ad-hoc projects and assist in managing and developing a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Write governance process or procedure documentation as needed.
• Research and provide reporting on industry trends impacting MS Institutional business to drive enhancements to governance framework over time.
• Assist in maintaining regulatory program(s), as needed.
• 2-5 years of relevant financial services industry, project management, program management, risk management or related experience.
• Experience with and interest in business risk mitigation, controls, policies and procedures preferred.
• Candidate is driven to learn and grow, not afraid to ask questions and raise their hand, and shows general interest in internal growth.
• Clear and confident communicator who can tailor messages/synthesize information according to the audience.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint for strategy visualizations and Excel for reporting and analytics.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Strong project management, organization, planning skills, very detailed-oriented, able to balance competing priorities
• Competent writer, comfortable creating detailed emails, reports or process documents for leadership review
• Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
