Position Summary:
As the Strategic Reporting & Insights Associate (or AVP) on the Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) Business Operations, Insights and Execution team, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting key client data to support business development teams across ICS verticals, compliance, and operating efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Graystone and Retirement Home Office, Finance, and Analytics & Data teams, to ensure accurate data collection for RFP (Request for Proposal) responses and deliver insightful reporting for stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data required for RFPs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and update a centralized master database of key RFP responses and Institutional client data.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to source and validate data required for RFP submissions.
- Assist in automating reporting processes to improve efficiency.
- Support ad-hoc analytics and data requests from leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to aid in production of persuasive, data informed arguments to drive insight and scaling opportunities to help senior management make informed decisions.
- Support the tracking of ICS budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant financial services industry, data analytics, project management, strategy, or related experience.
- Candidate is driven to learn and grow, not afraid to ask questions and raise their hand, and shows general interest in internal growth.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis. Knowledge of SQL, and Dataiku tools is desired.
- Experience with RFP processes and data collection is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate insights effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
