Institutional Infrastructure Solutions (IIS) is a new business unit that provides world-class service to Morgan Stanley's institutional clients including Employer Sponsored Retirement plans and Nonqualified Deferred Compensation plans, Multi-Family Offices and the Graystone business. IIS supports clients in partnership with Morgan Stanley's Fund Services infrastructure, an outsourced Wealth Management OCIO, the client's MS Financial Advisor, and WM Operations. IIS specifically supports all client service model execution processes including Client Onboarding and Maintenance, Money Movement, Asset Aggregation and Accounting, Billing, and Client/IO Reporting.
The Institutional Client Specialist - Retirement will provide world-class customer service to our institutional client base. The Institutional Client Specialist - Retirement enhances the client experience by providing exceptional client service to each client, supporting Branch functions as needed, and assisting in safeguarding client assets. The Institutional Client Specialist - Retirement is responsible for understanding firm policies, procedures and digital capabilities that will allow them to interact with internal Financial Advisors, external Recordkeepers, Plan Sponsors, Investment Committees and/or Clients.

Role Responsibilities
• Build trust and credibility with Clients and internal Financial Advisors by being a subject matter expert in employer-sponsored retirement plans and associated maintenance by displaying a thorough understanding of Morgan Stanley's suite of products and services for new and existing clients as well as staying up to date on applicable Internal Revenue Service (IRS) & Department of Labor (DOL) regulatory topics
• Develop a deep understanding of how different employer-sponsored retirement plans fit the unique needs of employers and their employees to effectively match needs to product offerings
• Ability to explain the Morgan Stanley proprietary fiduciary investment monitoring service to include investment line-up assessment and educate on Global Investment Manager Analysis (GIMA) recommended substitutions
• Understand advisory and fiduciary brokerage product benefits offered by Morgan Stanley to help Plan Sponsors meet fiduciary duties and responsibilities
• Perform account maintenance as needed on Institutional Market retirement plan accounts
• Field client inquires and engage appropriate firm resources
• Work across multiple lines of business, operation departments, and/or external Providers to resolve client issues
• Engage in strategic planning with other team members on client matters
• Actively engage in available training and education programs to maintain current status on policies, procedures and risk awareness
Qualifications:
• College degree required
• 3 or more years of industry experience preferred
• Active Series 7, 63 and 65 (or Series 7 and 66) required
• Additional product licenses may be required
• Experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans strongly preferred
• Experience with Custodians, Recordkeepers, and Third-Party Administrators in the Retirement Industry preferred
• Willingness to earn, or prior progress toward, a retirement industry recognized designation and/or certification a plus

• Exceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skills
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
• Strong industry, product and branch procedures knowledge
• Knowledge of Department of Labor and ERISA regulations

Salary range for the position: $57,000 to 115,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus Colorado (Statewide) component.
