We're seeking someone to join our team as the Global Workplace Occupancy Planning Lead to enable Morgan Stanley's dynamic workforce, across our global Real Estate workplace locations, to work in the service of our clients effectively and efficiently to manage spaces, places and capacity to perform their work for the Firm.

What you'll do in the role:
- Oversee our global real estate occupancy strategy across all regions (19MM RSF), provide planning oversight for all major hubs, regional offices, global centers, and major retail key projects
- Maintain accuracy around space and occupancy allocations in New York Metro
- Manage our international occupancy planning resources to deliver long term real estate strategy, deliver BAU occupancy planning, programming and test fits. Support and manage escalation of any regional occupancy planning issues.
- Global standardization of data entry into centralized tool and process workflow, support transparency of reporting. Develop templates to calculate space allocations and maintain to align with implemented projects and strategies.
- Manage and report global neighborhood health for our activity based working environments supporting 50K employees, maintaining consistency of share ratio's and portfolio optimization.
- Oversee BCP space planning strategies for business unit and RES/Occupancy Planning
- Act as the senior business unit relationship manager for any global planning or occupancy requests from the business unit space admins and COOs. Support coordination of senior stakeholder approvals throughout the planning process, and on all matters relating to workplace space requirements and allocations.
- Partner with global portfolio strategy and capital projects to develop project scope for RES and BU approvals, driven by changes in headcount demand and workforce strategy.
- Participate and provide input into the annual capital planning process. Consolidate and distribute global budget to controllers
- Maintain an active awareness and understanding of global workplace trends, innovations and opportunities.

What you'll bring to the role:
- 10+ years relevant space planning, design and project management in Corporate/Financial Services industry.
- Detailed experience in occupancy and space planning; high level understanding of fire egress and life safety principles, workplace design and planning practices, and construction principles and processes.
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
- A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities and to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to distill complex information to the essential for client decision-making.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to present to and communicate with demanding clients within the Business Units, managing expectations through the planning process.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in architecture, interior design / planning.
- Computer skills in Microsoft platforms, power point. Basic AutoCAD skills.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
