About Firmwide AI
The Firmwide Generative AI Team at Morgan Stanley is a dynamic and innovative department that serves as a center of AI enablement for the firm. The team is responsible for deploying advanced systems that utilize generative artificial intelligence to optimize business processes. The team oversees governance and control measures to ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies. The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and providing education on AI technologies to other departments within the company.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Program Manager to join our Firmwide AI team. As the key driver of our Awareness and Education program, you will play a crucial role in promoting AI literacy across the entire firm. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee program milestones, and contribute to the growth of AI understanding and adoption.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Curriculum Design and Management:
• Lead Education and Awareness program initiatives to enhance GenAI literacy across the Firm.
• Design and implement training programs tailored to different roles and businesses within the company, ensuring all employees are equipped to utilize GenAI tools effectively.
• Keep abreast of GenAI advancements to update and optimize training content and delivery.
Strategic Change Management & Transformation:
• Champion the adoption of GenAI technologies through effective change management strategies.
• Address barriers to adoption, such as resistance to change or lack of understanding, through targeted communication and engagement initiatives.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning that embraces new capabilities.
Performance Measurement and Optimization:
• Define and track metrics to assess the impact of education and engagement efforts on employee literacy and adoption.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of GenAI training and awareness initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Report on the ROI of the programs you develop or influence, providing actionable insights and recommendations for future projects.
Content Development: Manage the development of engaging and informative content for the AI literacy program, ensuring it is relevant, up-to-date, and accessible to all employees.
Communication Strategy: Partner with our corporate comms teams to develop and execute internal communication plans to keep the organization informed about training opportunities, upcoming events, and other relevant updates.
Risk Management: Ensure training initiatives comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Stakeholder Management: Manage key senior stakeholder relationships and communicate strategic goals and outcomes of the program.
• Learning and Development Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale training programs, with the ability to create engaging content tailored to various learning styles and professional levels.
• Strategic Change Management: Strong background in organizational change management, with the ability to strategize and implement change initiatives across a diverse workforce.
• GenAI Knowledge: Possess an understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, especially those relevant to GenAI technologies. Maintain awareness of technological advancements and integrate new knowledge into training programs.
• Content Development: Strong writing and content creation skills, with the ability to produce clear, informative, and engaging training materials. Experience in managing content development teams or working closely with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong leadership and relationship management skills to engage with and influence senior executives and key stakeholders. Ability to articulate strategic goals and outcomes and negotiate effectively to align diverse groups with the organization's GenAI objectives.
• Performance Measurement and Optimization: Skills in data analysis and reporting. Experience in developing, tracking, and leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI to make data-driven decisions for future improvements.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and partners.
• Risk Management: Knowledge of the AI governance and regulatory landscape. Experience operating in highly regulated industries, such as financial services, is a plus.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a face-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
