Morgan Stanley seeks a professional for a Business Analyst role to assist with data analysis and reporting for its Fund Services Business. The individual will cover a diverse range of responsibilities related to strategy planning and business management. This person will be responsible for generating standard and ad-hoc reports on client and business metrics to assist management in decision-making. Candidates must be able to organize and analyze large sets of data to distill information into clear summaries for senior management. The role involves using creativity, problem-solving and quantitative skills to respond to inquiries with data-driven analysis, and effectively communicating results to regional stakeholders. The analyst will have the opportunity to use analytical skills to help drive decisions and quantify results in the Fund Services business.

To succeed in the role, the candidate will need a relevant background (finance, economics, mathematics and statistics), strong desire to learn, and ability to work independently in a multi-regional team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement quantitative models to inform resource planning decisions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive senior management reporting capabilities
- Work with sales team to estimate resource requirements for prospective business
- Liaise with other groups in the Firm on global strategic occupancy/space planning
- Create presentations for senior management committees
- Lead discussions with regional stakeholders in the business to remediate capacity issues
- Perform in-depth revenue forecast to track the growth of the business
- Work with internal IT to remediate gaps in reporting/data issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent proficiency with Excel (automation, pivot tables, complex formula building). Knowledge in VBA and databases/SQL is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working under pressure and performing to tight deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to convey information with clarity
- Desire to work as a team

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $120,000 for Associate and $130,000 and $140,000 for Director, per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
