We're seeking someone to join our team as a Platform DevOps engineer in Threat Hunt and Cyber Detection (THCD). The THCD mission is to seek out attacks against the Morgan Stanley network, engineer detection strategies, and reduce risk to Morgan Stanley assets. As a new Threat Hunt team member, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining cutting edge technologies and platform to help defend Morgan Stanley's networks.

What you'll do in the role:
  • Leverage expertise throughout the DevOps lifecycle to help implement and optimize system features in the Threat Hunt technology stack.
  • Build & maintain complex CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement automation and observability in complex systems.
  • Collaborate with high paced team in diverse & inclusive environment to build cutting edge, highly available Threat Hunt platform.

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, OS fundamentals & networking
  • Strong understanding of modern distributed systems architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience involving complex systems using a variety of programming languages & system architectures.
  • Familiarity with GitOps principals and modern DevOps tools and practices including Ansible, Git, Jenkins, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Strong scripting experience in Python and Bash.
  • Capable of self-teaching, self-testing, and independent problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

Desired:
  • SRE/Monitoring experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Falco, etc.)
  • Proficiency with network traffic analysis and network intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging issues across hardware, OS, and network issues.
  • Capable of working in a high bandwidth team setting.
  • Eagerness to understand complex problems and requirements, an aptitude for translating these problems into workable designs and solutions, and a keen eye for detail.
  • At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. #LI-SK1

Salary range for the position: $135,000 - $190,000 /Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
