The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to Firmwide risk management and risk reduction. The division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to the Firm's various businesses and its senior management team.

The position is for a Product controller with Min. 5 years of experience in a similar role in banking. You will be part of the Fixed Income Products Business Unit Controllers. The role is to be part of the team responsible for reviewing and analyzing the daily PnL and attribution for Fixed Income Macro businesses, and to monitor and enhance controls around month end balance sheet substantiation.
The main responsibilities include:
-Partner with local and offshore team on Daily PnL production, reporting and attribution analysis
-Understand the risk and reporting systems and contribute to maintaining and enhancing the control environment
-Perform New trade review, dayone PnL reporting and provision
-Provide Daily/Weekly/Quarterly Pnl and Market commentary
-Conduct Month-end reconciliation, PnL reporting and Balance Sheet substantiation
-Understand relevant internal policies and accounting standards and ensure compliance in various jurisdictions
-Provide ad hoc reporting to the Business Unit on PnL, Balance sheet and funding analysis
-Engagement with other departments and stakeholders on various Firm-wide projects and other initiatives
Skills Required
> Min. 5 years of experience in product control with strong knowledge of financial products and who are technologically savvy.
> University graduated, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other mathematical disciplines
> Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to navigate and work on complicated spreadsheets.
> Experience in Excel VBA / Tableau is preferred but not required.
> Professional qualifications desirable (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, FRM).
>Team Player with strong communication skills is essential for collaboration across different teams & divisions, preferably with experience managing and collaborating offshore teams
> Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and under pressure, detail-oriented, willing to take ownership and accountability.
> Able to cope in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, strong problem solving skills and with the mindset of continuous improvement and aiming for excellence.
> Able to multi-task effectively and manage deadlines
