The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professionals trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.
ROLE
The SPG Agency Strat team is looking to hire a highly motivated candidate at the Senior Associate/VP level for the Agency bond trading and collateral modeling businesses.
.The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and expanding various models, e-trading algorithms, and producing forecasts and analytics tools to improve trading, sales, and client workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and deploy of MS prepayment/fundamental models.
- Strong collaboration with trading desk on trading ideas generation.
- Ownership and maintenance of desk and client facing projects
- Strong technical skills (Q/kdb, Python, SQL, Git) for statistical and econometric analysis
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- 2-5 years' experience in Structured Products
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 - $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
