Quantitative Analyst - Sales Data Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Strategist to join our global sales strat team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting and improving the sales data infrastructure, which is the lifeblood of global sales reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise to real-world problems, working closely with managers, COOs, quants, salespeople, and other stakeholders to design and implement cutting-edge infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise between tech and business stakeholders as the product owner for all things related to sales data. Attain in-depth understanding of various types of sales data - where they come from, why they are important, who's reading them, and how they are delivered. Use that knowledge to facilitate various questions and conversations regarding sales data.
  • Design and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to increase breadth and scalability of sales data that meet the latest business needs from multiple divisions.
  • Provide regular communication to stakeholders to ensure that the solutions and their timeline are understood and aligned with their needs.
  • Collaborate with Tech and Strat developers to provide detailed and clear requirements and help facilitate rapid delivery of solutions.

Requirements:
  • A working knowledge of fixed income products.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like JavaScript, React, and HTML 5, and programming skills in Python a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
  • High energy and a natural sense of urgency, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 - $200,000 per year for Associate and $200,000 - $250,000 per year for VP at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
