The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Position Description:
The Fixed Income Division Securitized Products Group's Fixed Income Secured Lending ("FSL") is currently seeking an analyst to work on all aspects of executing Commercial Real Estate lending transactions. This will include working with clients and the group's trading, capital markets and syndication teams to help structure and execute transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the various aspects of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) warehouse lending and overall growth of the business
- Structure warehouse transactions for CRE clients, tailoring solutions to their specific asset portfolios and financing needs
- Work with internal and external counterparts to execute on all aspects of CRE lending transactions including asset due diligence, preparation of re-underwriting materials and presentation at Loan Committee
- Assist in all aspects of clients CRE CLO securitizations
- Monitor the financial performance of the portfolio and prepare ad-hoc reports for Senior Management
- Conduct a range of quantitative and qualitative analyses using various CRE databases (i.e. CoStar and Real Capital Analytics)
Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related disciplines
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Strong quantitative, analytical and modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong presentation skills
- Commercially driven
- Detail oriented
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, and thrive in a dynamic work environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year commencement of employment for Analyst, and between $150,000 and $200,000 per year commencement of employment for Associate. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
