Morgan Stanley's Business Control Unit (BCU) works within the Firm's Sales & Trading Division and is responsible for the overall program of supervision in Fixed Income, Commodities and Bank Resource Management. The team seeks to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations governing the firm, as well as adherence to internal standards, controls and policies.
Summary
BCU's Trading Desk Supervision is looking for an Analyst or Associate in New York in a strategic supervision function. The Desk Supervision function of Fixed Income focuses on oversight of regulatory and firm requirements for Supervision. Central to the role will be process redesign, business strategy and development of senior level presentations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Formulate strategy documents to reengineer front office supervisory processes including management information and dashboard presentations
- Present metrics, strategies and supervisory materials to senior stakeholders across the business
- Author policies and procedures related to desk supervision including regulatory rules and expectations
- Perform ongoing delegated supervisory functions
- Daily interaction with Desk Heads, Traders and Sales team to assist with Supervisory questions, concerns and conduct related incident
Qualifications
• Ability to parse large quantities of information and present in a simplistic graphical presentation
• Expert PowerPoint skills a must; management consulting background a plus
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products a plus
• Series 7, 63, & 24 will be required (MS will sponsor licenses if applicant does not already have)

Expected base pay rate for the role will be between $65,000 and $125,000 for Analyst, and $85,000 to $140,000 for Associate, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
