Description
Morgan Stanley's Equity and Fixed Income businesses include sales, financing, prime brokerage, market-making and certain business-related investments. Financing activities include originating corporate loans and commercial real estate loans, providing secured lending facilities, and extending securities-based and other financing to customers.
In the Institutional Equity Division, the Strategy team works closely with the leadership team to develop multi-year strategic priorities, analyze competitive landscape, assess business mix, and identify and drive actionable expense management opportunities, including technology upgrades and process reengineering. Additionally, the team is responsible for the division's budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes, and supports divisional management in internal and external communication.

JOB SUMMARY
Key Responsibilities:
- Advance the Generative AI agenda within the Institutional Equity Division as one of Morgan Stanley's key near-term priorities, including:
- Develop the business case, strategy and roadmap for integrating Gen AI into workflows
- Identify, coordinate and prioritize the development and deployment of Gen AI use cases
- Engage with sales, trading and prime brokerage leadership globally to develop strategic plans and tactical initiatives, including:
- Identify and prosecute cross-business opportunities, monetizing institutional product capabilities across client segments
- Conduct deep dive analysis on client wallet progression to inform opportunities
- Engage with other business divisions, Treasury, Capital Planning, Investor Relations, Risk Management and Technology to ensure Firm-wide alignment on strategy and execution
- Evaluate competitive dynamics with direct and third-party research and data analysis
- Manage capital and financial resources planning, business budgeting and forecasting and regulatory updates
- Support divisional management in internal and external communications
Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting or financial services
- Proven conceptual and analytical problem solving, organizational ability, meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex, time-sensitive projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way, and achieve goals through collaboration with other teams within the Firm
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; preference for candidates with Python experience
- Preference for candidates familiar with institutional businesses

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 for Analyst and $150,000 - $200,000 for Associate per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
