The Talent and Diversity Advisor plays a critical role in architecting and driving an integrated talent and diversity strategy in partnership with our business clients, HCM partners and other key stakeholders both internally and externally to effect change. The Talent and Diversity Advisor is a member of the broader Talent Team, which includes Talent Acquisition, D&I, and Talent Development.

What you'll do in the role:
- Leverage your expertise in talent and diversity to partner and consult with leaders in our Company divisions - which includes Finance, Internal Audit, and Firm Risk Management - to innovate, create and implement talent and diversity strategies and initiatives
- Consult with global and regional teams to implement business and Firmwide learning and development initiatives
- Develop strong relationships with HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to gain an understanding of business priorities and provide consultative, strategic advice
- Drive awareness and adoption across the business of global and regional offerings and solutions from the Talent and Diversity Centers of Excellence (COEs), and partner with the COEs on custom solutions as required
- Manage relationships with external training vendors, including helping identify and assess external vendors for programs.
- Evaluate talent solutions by leveraging the experience of the participants and using data to identify any behavioral changes and measure impact
- Consult with and advise senior leaders on issues related to D&I, including the impact of external events, legislation, and regulatory changes that impact the regions
- Leverage data and subject matter expertise to influence leaders on D&I policy and strategy
- Measure success of key initiatives leveraging outcomes and key results to provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
- Consult with external organizations to develop and deepen relationships in support of our talent and D&I strategy

What you will bring to the role:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, and at least 5 years of direct experience working in HR, Talent or Diversity and Inclusion, or consultant experience focused in these areas
-Some experience working in a direct business function is preferable
- Demonstrated experience in developing data-backed and research-driven strategies
- Proven track record of successfully leveraging data to influence and drive strategy and key outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Facilitation experience is a plus
- Critical to the role is having a consultant mindset, strong partnership and relationship building skills, and experience influencing across all levels
- A collaborative approach and an ability to get things done by working closely with others in a complex, fast-paced, highly matrixed, and geographically dispersed environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data, and translate insights into impactful, commercial recommendations

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
