Morgan Stanley Human Capital Management is looking for a Engagement Manager for the Talent & Diversity Function.
This role will oversee marquee events which will include responsibility for team support tasks such as budget reconciliation, managing entitlements across a tapestry of platforms and aligning communications calendars. The ideal individual is both strategic and can roll up their sleeves to ensure accountability and juggle many projects at once. It requires an understanding of how to create engagement with employees and how to drive collaboration between various projects and functions of the business.
The successful candidate must be highly organized and process oriented. They will have experience leading large events, developing audience-focused themes and narratives, and understand the nuances of full year program and event planning. They will also be comfortable managing and interacting with a variety of stakeholders at different levels and follow all policies and guidelines around sensitive personal data.

The role involves close collaboration with Global Talent, Global Diversity, key external and internal partners, senior leadership including but not limited to HR leaders and Employee Network Co-Chairs.
What you'll do in the role:
- Lead Marquee Events, including Leadership Summits for advisors and the MAKERS program, an annual recognition. In partnership with the Events team and other members of the Diversity team, work through event strategy including location, audience, communication, invitation strategy/campaign/execution, event flow and content, and the surprise and delight that goes into each event. Key to both of these programs is getting to know our talent and ensuring programs are built to serve their business needs.
- Work with internal business unit partners in corporate and regions, including communications and marketing, on D&I related strategies, campaigns, programs and initiatives. Examples include Heritage Months, Leadership Comms, Program Positioning, and external speaking opportunities.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the WMDI team regarding various operation-focused functions, such as entitlements, budgeting and communication calendars.
- Cultivate relationships with internal business partners to understand the regional diversity strategy, objectives, and priorities, and support program and sponsorship strategies to attract, develop and retain our diverse talent.
- Act as a steward of data and audience needs to ensure all activations are relevant, drive progress and reflect the core values, brand strategy and guidelines.
- Create or support the creation of processes that all team members can leverage for planning, budgeting and tracking, and support leadership's goals around ROI and accountability.
- Contribute to internal communications strategies relative to key programs to engage employees.

Qualifications
- Project management and/or event management experience
- Proven track record in successfully leveraging metrics, strategies, and tools to drive strong outcomes.
- Experienced in building and maintaining relationships; ability to engage
- Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities, while maintaining flexibility.
- Highly analytical, organized and process driven with sound judgment.
- Experience with non-profit organizations, especially in the diversity and inclusion space
- Financial industry experience preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $98,000 and $155,000 peryear at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
