We are seeking an experienced and detailed oriented Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for monitoring the vendor enablement and call back verification processed for Institutional Securities, Asset Management and Wealth Management divisions at Morgan Stanley.

What you'll do in the role:
- Performing call back verification globally for new third-party suppliers to authenticate and verify a third-party supplier payment information during vendor onboarding or when a vendor amends their existing banking instructions that already exist within the AP system.
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting (1099 and 1042s), OFAC, AML and global anti-corruption regulations.
- The team performs due diligence on new and existing vendors to identify any potential risks related to money laundering or other financial crimes.
- Manage 1099 and 1042-S processes, ensuring that vendors are coded correctly, and working with Tax Operations team to ensure files sent to the IRS are accurate.
- Partner with TPI team on service category alignment during AP vendor onboarding.
- Manage the Accounts Payable authorized signatory database.
- Document and track records of verification via SharePoint Site.
- Communicate effectively with Fraud Operations, Business Units, and third-party suppliers to gather necessary information.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline verification processes.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying data.
- Follow up on discrepancies or incomplete information to ensure resolution.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 4 years of Employee Expense Reimbursement experience.
- Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable functions. Preferably an understanding of SAP products (SAP AP, Ariba, Fieldglass)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communicator with client facing experience. Good facilitator, confident in working with others at all levels.
- Very strong team player who is comfortable multi-tasking and works well under pressure.
- Ability & willingness to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment and with changing priorities.
- Strong PC skills in use of Microsoft products. i.e. Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic and drive and attention to details.
- Ability to work with remote teams across the globe.
- Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
