Role Description
The Fixed Income (FI) Credit Products and Content team is responsible for the curation and distribution of pertinent and actionable Taxable Fixed Income content to Morgan Stanley's Financial Advisors. The team leverages both internal and external credit analysis as well as Morgan Stanley Research and Strategy to assist in portfolio construction, positioning, and overall strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

Credit Analysis
o Perform fundamental and relative value credit analysis across multiple sectors within the US Investment Grade asset class
o Monitor / leverage internal & 3rd party research / strategy to curate idea generation & trade flow
o Commercialize FI content, through actionable idea generation / trade ideas.
> Content Distribution
o Daily content distribution from the Fixed Income Credit Desk to Financial Advisors, including, but not limited to, daily market commentary, Corp Cash Newsletters, Fixed Income Playbook, BlastIMs, offerings/offering runs, etc.
o Work closely with WM Taxable Sales to roundtable and scale best ideas
o Leverage Morgan Stanley Research and Strategy to help aid in positioning and portfolio construction
> Ad-hoc reporting / data requests for business Qualifications
> 6 to 9 years of experience in Fixed Income Sales, Trading or Research fields
> Fundamental understanding of global credit/interest sensitive markets
> Experience in Credit or Equity research or financial analysis is desired, but not necessary
> Ability to identify investment opportunities and analyze client portfolios
> Proficient Microsoft excel knowledge preferred
> Candidate must have a strong interest in Fixed Income Capital Markets and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
> CFA Preferred
> A fast-paced environment requires an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting often complex information in a timely manner.
> Candidate must have entrepreneurial attitude to help create best ideas for the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management client base
